ABOUT AIS INFRASTRUCTURE
The AIS Infrastructure Group is comprised of four civil and vertical construction operating companies delivering complex infrastructure solutions across the United States. Our work supports government and state agencies as well as private enterprise and includes heavy civil construction, vertical construction, infrastructure improvements, and site development.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing quality control systems that ensure construction activities meet contractual requirements, regulatory standards, and AIS Infrastructure quality expectations. This role plays a critical part in protecting project outcomes by ensuring work is executed correctly the first time.
The Quality Control Manager partners closely with project teams, field leadership, and management to drive consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement while promoting a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence across all projects.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards for heavy civil and industrial construction projects.
Perform regular inspections, audits, and assessments to verify compliance with project specifications, quality plans, and applicable regulations.
Identify quality issues, non-conformities, and deficiencies in materials, workmanship, or processes and ensure timely corrective action.
Collaborate with project teams to develop corrective and preventive measures to improve quality performance and reduce rework.
Review project plans, drawings, specifications, and submittals to confirm alignment with quality requirements.
Provide guidance and technical support to project teams regarding quality control expectations and best practices.
Support and deliver training to project personnel on quality standards, procedures, and documentation requirements.
Monitor quality control activities throughout the project lifecycle, from mobilization through closeout.
Prepare and maintain quality documentation, reports, and performance metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
Participate in project meetings, audits, and quality reviews, providing input to support continuous improvement. |
| Requirements (Education, Certifications, Level of Experience) |
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on quality control, is required for this role.
Experience with at least 2 federal design-build projects and at least 2 construction projects with a value of $10 million or more is required for this role.
Experience with heavy civil construction projects is highly preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to access secured facilities, including military bases.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in quality control or quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Certified Quality Engineer) are preferred.
In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
Strong familiarity with relevant quality control tools, equipment, and software.
Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and best practices in construction and industrial services.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess situations and develop appropriate solutions.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
TRAVEL
Travel to different project sites may be required based on project locations and needs.
