Associate Project Manager

Summary of Job Details:
Under the general direction of the Director of Design & Construction Services, the Associate Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of the administration and oversight of Capital Improvement projects under $1 million including building renovations, deferred maintenance and infrastructure upgrades. The Associate Project Manager also provides support to Project Managers on projects over $1 million. Supports and completes work under the campus expert for asbestos and lead containing building materials and the campus Asbestos & Lead programs. On assigned projects, executes strategies for achieving campus objectives for compliance and performs inspections and surveys in campus buildings and project sites in compliance with applicable California OSHA standards and University policy. Independently interprets contracts, negotiates changes in the Work, hires and manages professional consultants, oversees development of plans and specifications, creates budgets and manages expenses, serves as liaison with all campus departments, and obtains project approvals and permits. These activities are executed within the framework of University policy and pertinent local, state and federal laws and codes.
Special Conditions of Employment:
• Maintain a valid CA driver's license, a clean DMV record and enrollment in the DMV Employee Pull-Notice Program.
• Satisfactory conviction history background check.

Pay Rate/Range: Commensurate with Experience
Days/Hours: Mon-Fri, 7:00am-4:00pm
