Job Description / Primary Objective
|
SUMMARY
Lundgren Management is seeking a Business Development Professional specifically for construction management in the education facilities market. This Business Development Professional is responsible for promoting increased market share in targeted markets, promoting excellent client & community relationships, creating & providing support for the Business Development team functions, developing and submitting proposals & qualification packages, as well as the preparing of specific written material for Business Development.
DUTIES
• Development of business relationships with potential clients, including school district representatives, industry consulting firms, and architectural firms to foster teaming capabilities.
• Preparation of market plans, goals, and budgets.
• Prepare and oversee all written statements of qualification, proposals and responses to RFQ/RFPs.
• Take responsibility for creation and distribution of all marketing & promotional material, social media postings and related marketing efforts.
• Preparation of press releases for company / client events such as groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, grand openings, and other events.
• Coordination of events with clients and community (and community-based organizations) for community awareness and for fostering positive public relations.
• Represent clients (School District, Owner, etc.) at events that are associated with construction projects, etc.
• Assist job site teams with public outreach including social media, signage, & media relations.
• Attends & assists in the preparation of minutes for all weekly Business Development/Project Management meetings.
• Participates in and leads community activities.
• Attends professional organization committee meetings, semi-annual and annual conferences such as CASBO, CASH, CCFC, CSBA, BDA-IE, CMAA, etc.
• Development of Business Development Action item reports.
• Collection and distribution of new project opportunities.
• Maintains database of current and prospective clients.
• Manages and attends the short list interview process (including supplemental information and graphic materials).

Requirements (Education, Certifications, Level of Experience)
|
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
The Business Development Professional will preferably have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, or comparable discipline AND/OR a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Construction Management and Business Development
• Strong background in School Construction Experience (K-12 & Higher Ed.)
• Good writing, oral and presentation skills.
• Outgoing personality with the ability to perform in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, etc.
• Preferred proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, BlueBeam, and construction project management software (Procore, etc).
